Midland National Indexed Policy Investigation

Midland National Indexed Policy Investigation

We are investigating certain indexed insurance policies sold by Midland National and North American Life Insurance Company, including Indexed Universal Life (IUL) and Fixed Indexed Annuities (FIA).

This investigation focuses on policies where the policyholder selected the Fidelity Multifactor Yield Index as at least one of the investment strategies.

Indexed insurance policies can be difficult to understand. The way an index works—including its fees, limits, and crediting rules—can significantly affect how a policy performs over time.

We are reviewing whether consumers were given clear and accurate information about how this index operates and how it impacts policy value.

If you purchased a Midland National and North American IUL or FIA policy and selected the Fidelity Multifactor Yield Index, you may be eligible to participate in this investigation.

About Izard Kindall & Raabe, LLP

Every day, people across America are injured by a wide variety of corporate practices. Often, the amount at stake is too small compared to the cost of litigating against well-funded corporate defendants. That’s where class action lawsuits make a difference. A class action allows everyone who has been harmed by the same type of action, policy, practice or product to band together in a single case. Izard Kindall & Raabe, LLP has represented hundreds of plaintiffs in class actions across the country to recover money to which they are entitled.

About Sarraf Gentile LLP

Life insurance companies that fail to properly administer or correctly calculate the contractual components of their policies may be sued for misconduct, either by individual policyholders or on behalf of a class of similarly situated policyholders. Misrepresentations in how these policies are marketed and sold may also occur. The lawyers at Sarraf Gentile LLP have decades of combined experience representing clients, litigating class actions and advising individuals who encounter problems with their life insurance policies. The firm has helped recover hundreds of millions of dollars on behalf of injured policyholders.
